Description

The Diamond DA42 is a twin engine piston aircraft, produced by the Austrian company Diamond Aircraft Industries. The light weight of the Twin Star makes it a very fuel-efficient, and highly capable aircraft.

The Twin Star has a total of 4 seats, allowing for 1 pilot and 3 passengers during charter operations. Thanks to its “TKS Ice Protection System”, the DA42 is one of the few Piston aircraft that can fly into known icing conditions (FIKI certified).

In 2009 Diamond launched the DA42 NG, powered by the highly reliable Austro Engine AE300, a four-cylinder liquid-cooled Diesel engine.

The DA42 Twin Star is ideal for short charter flights, which can be performed at greater speed than by helicopter or by car, as well as in superior comfort.
